This home office addition was designed for a semi-custom Kern home that had been built a decade earlier. The clients, a “retired” couple, needed office space for their home-based business. The office is located off the family room and is accessed by a new deck that leads from the parking area. The couple plan to convert the office to living space once they retire for the second time.
